Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking a proactive Return to Work Coordinator to lead injury management and workers’ compensation across our resort operations. You will coordinate return-to-work plans, liaise with managers, medical practitioners and insurers, and ensure compliance while supporting employee wellbeing.

This role offers a meaningful impact on a diverse team and an on-island lifestyle with accommodation and staff benefits, reporting to the Human Resources Manager within our People Division.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience in HR, WHS or related field.
• At least three years’ experience managing end-to-end workers’ compensation claims.
• Strong knowledge of injury management, suitable duties and return-to-work practices.
• Ability to interpret workers’ compensation legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end injury management and workers’ compensation claims from commencement through to resolution.
• Lead return-to-work processes for employees with injuries or illnesses.
• Develop and monitor suitable duties and return-to-work plans with treating practitioners and managers.
• Coordinate early-intervention programs and rehabilitation services.
• Maintain confidential case records and ensure regulatory compliance.
