Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking an experienced Return to Work Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. You will coordinate workplace injury management and return-to-work programs, partnering with employees, managers, healthcare providers, rehabilitation specialists and insurers to ensure safe, timely outcomes.

You will drive tailored return-to-work plans, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with workers' compensation and WHS legislation while maintaining thorough case records and reporting

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Return-to-Work Coordination or injury management.
  • Solid understanding of workers' compensation and WHS legislation.
  • Experience coordinating multiple injury cases and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with case management and records.
  • Ability to influence and coach managers in injury management.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to identify trends.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage workplace injury cases from notification through closure.
  • Develop and monitor tailored return-to-work plans with employees, leaders, healthcare providers and insurers.
  • Support injured employees with regular communication and guidance during recovery.
  • Identify suitable duties and modifications to facilitate safe rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation, WHS, privacy laws and internal policies.
  • Maintain confidential case records and documentation.
  • Prepare reports and analyse injury management trends for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to injury prevention and wellbeing programs across the business.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Return to Work Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for coordinating workplace injury management and return-to-work programs across the business, ensuring injured employees receive the support they need to achieve safe, sustainable, and timely return-to-work outcomes. You will partner closely with employees, managers, healthcare providers, rehabilitation specialists, and insurers while ensuring compliance with workers' compensation and workplace health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate and manage workplace and non-work-related injury cases from notification through to closure.
  • Develop, implement and monitor tailored return-to-work plans in consultation with employees, leaders, healthcare providers and insurers.
  • Support injured employees throughout their recovery journey through regular communication and guidance.
  • Identify suitable duties and workplace modifications that facilitate safe rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation, workplace health and safety, privacy legislation and organisational policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation.
  • Prepare reports, analyse injury management trends and provide recommendations to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to injury prevention, wellbeing initiatives and return-to-work education programs across the business.
About You

You are a highly organised and proactive injury management professional who is passionate about supporting employees through recovery while balancing operational outcomes. You have strong stakeholder management skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to navigate complex cases with professionalism, empathy and confidence.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Return-to-Work Coordination, injury management, workplace rehabilitation or workers' compensation.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation and workplace health and safety legislation.
  • Experience managing multiple injury cases and coordinating stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent case management and record-keeping capabilities.
  • The ability to influence, coach and support managers in best-practice injury management.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Rehabilitation or a related discipline.
  • Return-to-Work Coordinator certification and experience within manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
