Job summary

Securecorp is seeking professional, motivated and customer-focused Security Officers to join our retail security team in Eastern Creek, with full-time, part-time and casual opportunities available.

As a Retail Security Officer, you will protect people, property and assets while delivering outstanding customer service in a busy retail environment. You will join a nationally recognised security provider committed to career progression and development.

Qualifications

• NSW Security Licence required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Retail security experience highly regarded but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional presentation with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to stay calm, alert and professional under pressure.
• Strong observation skills and response to incidents.
• Reliable and punctual with flexible rosters.
• Rosters include weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-visibility internal and external patrols throughout the retail centre.
• Monitor CCTV and respond promptly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Maintain a professional security presence while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Monitor access points and enforce site policies, procedures and security requirements.
• Assist customers and retailers with enquiries, directions and general assistance.
• Liaise with Centre Management, retailers, emergency services and contractors.
• Identify hazards, suspicious behaviour and security risks.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and other emergency situations.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, presentation and conduct.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We are looking for people who are reliable, professional and take pride in providing both security and customer service excellence.

• A current NSW Security Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Previous retail security experience highly regarded, but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities

• The ability to remain calm, alert and professional under pressure
• Strong observation skills and the ability to respond appropriately to incidents
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
• Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays
