Trumps is seeking a motivated Retail Sales Representative to strengthen our presence across Victoria and drive sales and distribution growth. Reporting to the National Retail Manager, you will manage relationships with retail customers, achieve sales targets and enhance product visibility in stores.

This field sales role combines relationship management, commercial selling and in-store merchandising, requiring initiative, organisation and a practical approach to delivering promotions and stock

About the role

Reporting to the National Retail Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing customer relationships across your Victorian territory, achieving sales targets and increasing product distribution and visibility in retail stores.

This is a hands-on field sales role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, identifying opportunities and turning sales plans into results. You will combine relationship management and commercial sales with practical in-store merchandising and promotional execution.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales performance: Achieve monthly sales budgets, sales targets and margin objectives while growing distribution across your territory.

• Build customer relationships: Develop strong working relationships with retail customers, understand their needs and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.

• Maximise in-store execution: Maintain clean, well-presented and correctly ticketed displays, shelves and promotional stands, including off-location displays where required.

• Grow product distribution: Identify opportunities to expand product ranging, improve availability and increase product visibility.

• Deliver promotional activity: Communicate upcoming promotions, support promotional displays and point-of-sale initiatives, and ensure marketing priorities are executed in store.

• Manage territory performance: Plan customer call cycles, manage your territory effectively and identify opportunities through market and competitor insights.

• Coordinate customer orders: Place orders through the relevant systems or Customer Service team and follow up on stock availability, delivery discrepancies and customer enquiries.

• Collaborate across the business: Work closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality and Marketing teams to resolve issues and deliver a positive customer experience.

• Report and improve: Maintain accurate customer information, provide timely sales forecasts and reports, and identify opportunities to improve sales and distribution.

About you

You are a proactive, organised and commercially focused sales professional who enjoys working independently, building relationships and delivering measurable results.

To be successful, you will bring:

• FMCG sales experience and a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.

• Merchandising experience, including maintaining retail displays and executing promotional activity.

• Strong communication, relationship-building and presentation skills.

• A customer-focused approach and the confidence to identify and pursue sales opportunities.

• Strong planning, organisation and time-management skills.

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Initiative, flexibility and a practical approach to problem-solving.

• A current and valid driver's licence.

Experience in the food industry and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, will be highly regarded.
