Job summary

Petstock Birkenhead Point is hiring a customer-focused retail assistant to join our passionate team. You will help customers with advice on pet care, complete sales, and ensure our store looks great.

You’ll stay up-to-date on products, support a safe working environment, and contribute to a fun, supportive culture. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required, and the role involves lifting products up to 20 kg.

Qualifications

• A passion for animals and delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience in a similar retail environment.
• Ability to meet sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
• Complete memorable sales transactions, aiming to reach set store sales goals
• Maintain a consistently high standard of store presentation while ensuring that new stock is promptly and accurately displayed whilst also ensuring we are replenishing our stock
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services current
• Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work each and every day
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team
