Job summary

PETstock Pty Ltd in Tasmania is seeking a passionate retail teammate to deliver exceptional customer service, educate customers on pet care and products, and drive store performance.

You will help with sales, keep shelves tidy, stay informed on products, and contribute to a supportive, safety-minded in-store culture across our Petstock team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers and team.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with memorable interactions.
• Educate customers on pet care and product range.
• Complete sales transactions and help meet store targets.
• Maintain high store presentation and promptly display new stock.
• Keep knowledge up to date on pet care, products and services.
• Support a fun, safe, and collaborative in-store culture.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset within the team.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
• Complete memorable sales transactions, aiming to reach set store sales goals
• Maintain a consistently high standard of store presentation while ensuring that new stock is promptly and accurately displayed whilst also ensuring we are replenishing our stock
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services current
• Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work each and every day
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service
• Experience in a similar retail environment
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products up to 20kgs
• Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
