Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Retail Postage Sorter at the Rockhampton Post Office. The role involves sorting mail and parcels, assisting with distribution to PO Boxes, and supporting administrative tasks while delivering excellent customer service to customers collecting parcels and mail items.

The position is permanent part-time with a 20-hour week. Pay starts at $29.25 per hour for the initial period, increasing to $31.27 per hour plus 12% super, with comprehensive paid training of six weeks.

About the opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail and parcels comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

You’ll be

• Manually sort incoming mail and parcels within the facility
• Sort and distribute mail to the appropriate PO Boxes
• Support administrative activities, including stocktaking and maintaining records
• Deliver exceptional customer service to customers collecting parcels and mail items
• Pay Raterole commences on $29.25/ hour for approx. 3 months, increasing to $31.27hour + 12% Superannuation.
• Training Comprehensive, paid training program of 6 weeks, full time hours, with ongoing support, training will also be provided on front of house customer service
• HoursMonday – Friday, between 5.00am - 5.00pm
