Job summary

Australia Post in Broome, WA is seeking a Retail Postage Sorter for a 24-month fixed-term, part-time role. You’ll manually sort mail and parcels and help customers in a busy post office environment.

The 20-hour weekly shifts run from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate is $33.46 per hour, with 12% super, district allowance up to $9,020, an air-conditioning subsidy, five weeks’ annual leave, uniform and a shoe allowance, plus extensive onboarding training.

About the opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail and parcels comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

• 24-month part-time contract, rostered shifts between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM
• Pay rate $33.46+ 12% superannuation
• Up to $9,020 district allowance + air-conditioning subsidy
• + 5 weeks annual leave
• Uniform provided plus you’ll have access to an annual shoe allowance

You’ll also need to

• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift
