Job summary

MECER PTY LTD – DecoRug Maroochydore is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Maroochydore store.

The Retail Manager will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating sales activities, maintaining stock levels, delivering high standards of customer service and supporting the overall commercial performance of the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily retail store operations.
• Supervise, motivate and coordinate retail staff.
• Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties and monitor employee performance.
• Provide staff training, guidance and support.
• Plan and implement sales, promotional and merchandising activities.
• Monitor sales performance, operating costs and profitability.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and manage customer enquiries and complaints.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock ordering and replenishment.
• Manage purchasing and liaise with suppliers regarding stock, pricing and deliveries.
• Ensure stock is accurately received, stored, displayed and controlled.
• Maintain accurate sales, stock, staffing and operational records.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, cleanliness and store presentation.
• Assist with recruitment, induction, training and development of employees.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and relevant employment and retail requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, customer experience and store profitability.
• Manage store opening, closing and security procedures.

About the Role

MECER PTY LTD, operating DecoRug Maroochydore, is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our Maroochydore store.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have:

• A relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or equivalent qualification relevant to the position; and
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in the nominated occupation or a closely related role.

Relevant qualifications, skills and experience will be considered when assessing applications.

Salary

$79,500 per annum plus superannuation.
