Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

Salary: $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the supermarket to ensure efficient and profitable business performance.
• Determine product range, stock levels, merchandising displays and customer service standards to meet customer demand and business objectives.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies, coordinate procurement activities with suppliers, establish pricing strategies and implement marketing initiatives to maximise sales and profitability.
• Plan and coordinate promotional campaigns, catalogue specials, seasonal offers, social media promotions and in-store advertising activities.
• Assist customers with product enquiries, provide information regarding products, resolve customer concerns and ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the store.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, sales transactions, supplier purchases and other operational records.
• Prepare, monitor and manage store budgets, operating expenses and financial performance to achieve business targets.
• Recruit, train, roster, supervise and evaluate retail staff to ensure efficient store operations and high performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, food safety standards, company policies and relevant regulatory obligations.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 1 year of relevant full time retail management experience in retail grocery
• Relevant qualification in business, management or related field.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Experience in inventory control and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
