Job summary

Get Sashimi Coogee is seeking a dedicated Retail Manager for our Coogee store. This full-time role (38 hours/week) focuses on product range, purchasing strategies, pricing, promotions, and keeping stock fresh to maximize sales.

You will supervise staff, monitor budget and store performance, ensure food safety compliance, and deliver excellent customer service through in-store displays and local marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of experience to substitute formal qualification.

Responsibilities

• Determine product range including sashimi, seafood platters, and ready-to-eat items, and manage stock levels to maintain freshness and availability
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for fresh seafood, and set pricing in line with market conditions and business targets
• Promote the store’s products through in-store displays, local marketing, and social media to attract and retain customers
• Serve customers, provide product recommendations, and advise on sashimi selection, freshness, and consumption
• Maintain accurate records of stock, wastage, and daily sales transactions
• Assist with budgeting, cost control, and monitoring store performance
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations and high service standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
