Job summary

Get Sashimi Coogee is hiring a full-time Retail Manager to oversee operations at Coogee. You will manage stock, purchasing strategies, pricing, and promotions while maintaining exceptional customer service in a fast-paced seafood environment.

You will recruit and train staff, supervise daily operations, monitor budgets, and ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree or higher and at least 1 year of relevant work experience, or 3 years experience to substitute formal qualification.
• Experience in a retail seafood or fresh food environment is preferred.
• Ability to manage stock, pricing, and product ranges.

Responsibilities

• Determine product range including sashimi and ready-to-eat items and manage stock for freshness.
• Develop purchasing strategies and set pricing aligned with market targets.
• Promote products via displays, local marketing and social media.
• Serve customers with product recommendations and sashimi advice.
• Maintain stock records, wastage and daily sales data.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and store performance monitoring.
• Recruit, train and supervise staff to ensure high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS regulations.

Get Sashimi Coogee is hiring a full-time Retail Manager for our business located in Coogee.

Your duties will include:

• Determine product range including sashimi, seafood platters, and ready-to-eat items, and manage stock levels to maintain freshness and availability
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for fresh seafood, and set pricing in line with market conditions and business targets
• Promote the store's products through in-store displays, local marketing, and social media to attract and retain customers
• Serve customers, provide product recommendations, and advise on sashimi selection, freshness, and consumption
• Maintain accurate records of stock, wastage, and daily sales transactions
• Assist with budgeting, cost control, and monitoring store performance
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations and high service standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
