Job summary

Mud Australia seeks a Showroom Manager for our new Claremont location. You will lead a passionate retail team, drive sales and profitability, and uphold operational excellence across inventory and showroom standards.

You will partner with HR and headquarters to refine procedures, maintain visual merchandising, and deliver exceptional customer experiences aligned with our brand values.

Qualifications

As our Showroom Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operation of our new Claremont location. You will lead and inspire a passionate retail team, drive sales and profitability, and uphold the highest levels of operational excellence.

This is more than a retail management role—it is an opportunity to cultivate unique, personal, and memorable customer experiences. You will oversee inventory integrity, partner with the broader Mud Australia team to develop and refine operating procedures, and serve as an inspiring ambassador for our brand values.

Key Responsibilities

Elevate the Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional, memorable customer service, setting a high benchmark for your team.

Inspire & Manage a Team: Recruit, onboard, mentor, and roster your sales team—motivating them to hit performance targets while maintaining a warm, collaborative environment.

Drive Retail Performance: Apply thoughtful sales techniques, optimize transaction size, and manage showroom operations to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets.

Stock & Inventory Operations: Oversee receiving, visual merchandising, priority restocks, and regular stocktakes to ensure complete inventory integrity.

Visual Merchandising & Standards: Execute on-brand visual merchandising campaigns, maintaining a visually captivating and pristine showroom environment.

Operational Excellence: Continuously improve policies and procedures in collaboration with HR and headquarters to enhance store flow and efficiency.

About You

You possess a passion for handmade design, craftsmanship, and mindful living. You are a natural leader with exacting standards, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused approach.

Proven Experience: At least 2 years in a Store Manager or Supervisor role, with 3+ years of retail store experience.

Design & Service Passion: An instinctive understanding of high-touch customer experience, paired with an eye for design aesthetics.

Team Leader & Mentor: Comfortable coaching, training, and inspiring staff to achieve sales goals and deliver warm, authentic interactions.

Business & Results Driven: Sales-focused with a keen interest in store growth, rostering efficiency, and meeting profitability targets.

Tech & Systems Savvy: Proficient in basic IT tools, including POS systems and Google Suite.
