Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee furniture retail operations and store performance.
• Manage stock levels, pricing, purchasing, and marketing activities.
• Promote collections, offers and showroom products.
• Assist customers with product selection and suitability.
• Maintain accurate sales, stock and financial records.
• Prepare store budgets and monitor costs and sales.
• Recruit, train, roster and supervise retail staff.
• Ensure showroom health and safety compliance.
• Organise displays and maintain an appealing showroom.
• Analyse sales trends to inform stock decisions.

Job Description

Our client, The Furniture Trader, is currently seeking an experienced full-time Retail Manager to oversee its retail operations. The position offers an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience. Located in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria, The Furniture Trader is a family-owned furniture retailer offering an extensive range of well-designed, on-trend and high-quality furniture to its customers. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing furniture ranges, stock levels and customer service standards.
• Setting product pricing and coordinating purchasing and marketing activities.
• Promoting furniture collections, special offers and showroom products.
• Assisting customers with furniture selection, features and product suitability.
• Maintaining accurate stock, sales and financial transaction records.
• Preparing store budgets and monitoring operating costs and sales performance.
• Recruiting, training, rostering and supervising retail staff.
• Ensuring showroom operations comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Managing furniture displays and maintaining an organised, appealing showroom.
• Monitoring sales trends and customer demand to support stock decisions.
• Coordinating customer orders, deliveries, returns and after-sales enquiries.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant field.
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience as a Retail Manager in Australia.
