AA JSD PTY LTD (trading as Soul Origin) is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the Fyshwick, Canberra outlet. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, organisation and customer service skills as you manage daily operations and drive sales.

You will lead the store team, ensure high standards of service and presentation, handle staff rostering, and support recruitment and training to achieve operational targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or store supervision.
• Experience leading and supervising staff in busy retail or food-service environments.
• Experience with rostering and daily store operations.
• Experience with stock control, ordering and inventory management.

About the Role

AA JSD PTY LTD (trading as Soul Origin) is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our Soul Origin outlet in Fyshwick, Canberra.

The Retail Manager will be responsible for leading the store team, maintaining high standards of customer service and product presentation, managing daily operations, and supporting the business to achieve its sales and operational objectives.

This is a hands‑on management position requiring strong leadership, organisation and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the retail outlet and ensure the store operates efficiently.
• Lead, supervise and support employees to maintain high standards of service and productivity.
• Prepare staff rosters and coordinate staffing requirements.
• Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance during daily operations.
• Monitor sales, store performance and operating costs.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries and inventory control.
• Ensure products are prepared, displayed and presented in accordance with company standards.
• Provide a high standard of customer service and professionally handle customer enquiries and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene and company procedures.
• Assist with recruitment, induction, training and performance management of employees.
• Maintain appropriate cash‑handling and store administration procedures.
• Monitor the cleanliness, presentation and overall condition of the outlet.
• Liaise with management and suppliers regarding stock and operational requirements where required.
• Identify operational issues and implement appropriate solutions.Support the business owner/franchisee in achieving sales and operational targets.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Perform other duties reasonably associated with the Retail Manager position.

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous experience in retail management, store management or a similar supervisory/management position.
• Experience leading and supervising employees in a busy retail or food‑service environment.
• Experience with staff rostering and day‑to‑day store operations.
• Experience with stock control, ordering and inventory management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.
• Relevant qualification in retail management, business, hospitality or a related field.
