Job summary

Gough Recruitment WA is seeking an experienced Retail Manager for a 12-month maternity leave قرارداد at a major CBD retail asset in Adelaide. You will work closely with the Centre Manager and asset management team to oversee day-to-day operations and drive centre performance.

The role requires strong retail property experience, hands-on execution, and excellent stakeholder management to liaise with retailers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day retail operations of a major CBD asset.
• Build relationships with retailers and address tenant and customer matters.
• Conduct regular centre inspections and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor retailer performance, sales and centre results.
• Assist with leasing activity, tenant mix and occupancy initiatives.
• Manage lease administration, rental reviews and tenant charges
• Assist with budgets, reporting and financial performance.
• Support risk, compliance and operational requirements across the Centre.
• Provide recommendations to support ongoing asset performance.

Retail Manager | 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract
Adelaide CBD | Major Retail Asset | $130K incl. super

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Retail Manager to join a well-established property team on a 12-month maternity leave contract.

Based within a major CBD retail asset, you’ll work closely with the Centre Manager and wider asset management team, playing a key role in the day‑to‑day management and performance of the Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong retail property experience who enjoys being hands‑on, engaging with retailers and working across the operational and commercial aspects of a major asset.

The Role

• Managing the day‑to‑day retail operations of a major CBD asset
• Building strong relationships with retailers and proactively addressing tenant and customer matters
• Conducting regular Centre inspections and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Monitoring retailer performance, sales and centre results
• Assisting with leasing activity, tenant mix and occupancy initiatives
• Managing lease administration, rental reviews and tenant charges
• Assisting with budgets, reporting and financial performance
• Supporting risk, compliance and operational requirements across the Centre
• Providing recommendations and insights to support the ongoing performance of the asset
• Working collaboratively with the wider Centre Management and Asset Management teams

About You

• Previous experience in retail property management / retail asset management
• Strong knowledge of retail property operations and tenant relationships
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to work autonomously
• Confidence dealing with retailers and a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Good Microsoft Office skills
