IKEA is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee accounting, budgeting and reporting for the Logan and North Lakes stores. This permanent, full-time role requires strong financial control, cost management and strategic partnership with store leadership. Domestic relocation support is provided.

The successful candidate will drive cost efficiency, ensure accurate reporting and support budgeting cycles, enabling the retail unit to perform to its potential.

Qualificações

• Qualified in accounting or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Experienced in financial control, budgeting, reporting or commercial controlling.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to connect financial information to business performance.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong ledger review skills.
• Effective communicator, able to influence stakeholders and hold cost owners accountable.
• Proactive, collaborative and able to drive cost saving initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure expenses and invoices are recorded, coded and allocated to ledgers and cost centres.
• Oversee budgets across departments and lead regular financial reviews.
• Prepare clear financial reports, forecasts and variance analysis for management.
• Review ledger accounts to identify errors, misallocations and cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyse historical spending to understand key cost drivers and inefficiencies.
• Support accurate baseline budgets for future periods using past insights.
• Collaborate with store management and finance stakeholders to strengthen controls.
• Build financial understanding across the retail unit and drive continuous improvement.
