Job summary

Australia Post in Camperdown is seeking a Retail Customer Service Officer for a 6-month fixed-term part-time role at 20 hours per week. The position involves helping customers post, shop, bank, and pay bills, with shift times 1:00pm–5:00pm, and a structured training program.

Starting pay is $29.72 per hour, increasing to $31.77 per hour after roughly three months, plus 12% superannuation. Applicants should enjoy working in a team and delivering excellent service to the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
• Be fit to lift up to 16 kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift.
• Friendly, enthusiastic and reliable with a teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer sales and service transactions.
• Manage high value transactions accurately (cash, cheques, credit cards, EFTPOS).
• Conduct identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.
• Promote products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and promotions.
• Assist customers with mail and parcels lodgements and associated costs.
• Build relationships by understanding customer needs.
• Assist with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.
