Job summary

Wendy Murray Design in Sydney's Harbour Four shore CBD is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant and/or Ecommerce Assistant to support the Australian owner and designer at our prestigious boutique. Join our luxury leather and suede brand, where you will manage in‑store sales, help maintain our Shopify shop, and contribute to digital marketing and social media while gaining mentorship in fashion.

This role requires high‑end retail experience, POS and Shopify proficiency, MacOS and Excel, and

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in high end retail - min 2 years.
• Experience using POS, Shopify, MacOS and Microsoft Excel necessary.
• A degree or diploma in Fashion or Design is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm welcome and personalised high end retail customer experience for our celebrity and high-profile clients.
• Assist in the management and maintenance of our Shopify website (previous experience in Shopify and POS required).
• Contribute to the management of our social media accounts.
• Facilitate administrative tasks such as client lists and order lists.
• Conduct stocktaking activities.

About the role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will ensure a high level of customer service while catering to our high-profile clientele.

As a Ecommerce assistant you will help take care of the new shopify Online platform

This multi-faceted role allows you to contribute to various aspects of the business

Including digital marketing, e-commerce sales, and social media.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our designer, receiving mentorship and gaining valuable skills in the fashion industry.

Please note that this role involves facilitating a bespoke custom measurement service exclusively for our female clients, where hand measurements will be taken by our staff.

Your day to day

Provide a warm welcome and personalized high end retail customer experience for our celebrity and high-profile clients.

Assist in the management and maintenance of our Shopify website ( previous experience in Shopify and POS required )

Contribute to the management of our social media accounts.

About You

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively engage with individuals at all levels to provide a high end customer service

Degree or diploma qualified, Experience using POS , Shopify ,MacOS and Microsoft Excel necessary .Must have previous experience in working with Shopify ecommerce websites.

A degree or diploma in Fashion or Design is required for this position.

Well-groomed, possessing good manners, and a nicely spoken demeanor

Passionate and enthusiastic about the fashion industry.

Keen eye for luxury style, clothing, and visual merchandising.

Creative, positive, and critical thinker

Prior experience in high-end retail is a must

Flexibility to work rotational rosters and weekends as required
