Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Shop Assistant to help run our retail store with a focus on delivering a welcoming customer experience. You will work with the Shop Manager, volunteers and staff to support sales, stock and merchandising activities while ensuring the shop is neat, safe and well presented.

The role emphasizes great communication, numeracy and basic computer literacy, with opportunities to support other Anglicare shop locations where available.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Numeracy and basic computer skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of customers and volunteers.
• Comfort with cash handling and retail transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day store operations including sales, stock and merchandising.
• Assist with pricing, stock rotation and shop presentation.
• Support and supervise volunteers and staff to run the shop smoothly.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and volunteers.
