Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Shop Assistant to help run our retail store with a focus on delivering a welcoming customer experience. You will work with the Shop Manager, volunteers and staff to support sales, stock and merchandising activities while ensuring the shop is neat, safe and well presented.

The role emphasizes great communication, numeracy and basic computer literacy, with opportunities to support other Anglicare shop locations where available.

There may also be opportunities to support other Anglicare shop locations, subject to availability.With integrity and resilience, you will:Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.Keep the store looking its best through merchandising, cleaning and stock rotation.Assist with pricing, sales, cash handling and accurate retail transactions.Support and supervise volunteers as they contribute to the day-to-day running of the shop.Maintain a safe and supportive environment for customers, volunteers and colleagues.What you'll bringYou're a friendly and customer-focused team member who enjoys working with people and getting involved in a busy retail environment.You bring great communication skills, a practical approach and a willingness to help wherever needed.
