Job summary

PetO is Australia''s largest independent pet retailer and is expanding nationally. We are recruiting for casual customer-focused team members to join our stores in Annandale, Campbelltown, Chatswood, Northmead and Erina.

In this role you will greet pet-loving customers, chat about their pets all day, and help ensure a positive, friendly shopping experience. You’ll be part of a fun team with 20–30 hours per week, weekend availability, and adoption-first values.

Qualifications

• A genuine animal lover.
• Ideally have retail experience with an outstanding "customer first" attitude.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Interact with animal-loving customers daily.
• Chat about pets and provide exceptional service.
• Work weekends as required.
• Support the adoption-first policy with local rescues and shelters.

This is an exciting time to join us on our journey! PetO is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help drive the success of our stores. This is a customer-focused role for people who truly love engaging with pet parents, talking about pets all day, and going above and beyond to help. We are able to offer work options for 20-30 hours per week.

We are proudly adoption first. You won't see live animals for sale in our stores. Instead, you'll partner with local rescues and shelters, and support community events.

And the best part? Our customers. Pet parents are genuinely some of the most passionate people you'll meet. You'll spend your day greeting, chatting about pets, seeing (and cuddling) dogs, and occasionally meeting some delightfully quirky pets too - because our stores are pet friendly.
