Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in water damage restoration or related field.
• IICRC certification (Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, or Fire & Smoke) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of water extraction machinery, dehumidification setups, and containment procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to property damage events and conduct initial site inspections to determine the scope of water damage.
• Execute emergency mitigation procedures, including water extraction, equipment placement, containment setup, and selective removal of damaged materials.
• Apply industry-standard restoration techniques and safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain containment and treatment guidelines for mold or biohazard risks.
• Complete accurate site assessments and work logs for management and compliance.
• Maintain open communication with team leads, supervisors, and clients regarding timelines and status.
• Serve as a professional, client-focused on-site representative during emergency restoration events.

Key Responsibilities

Mitigation & Restoration Operations

• Respond promptly to property damage events, conducting initial site inspections to determine the scope of water damage and contamination.

• Execute emergency mitigation procedures, including water extraction, structural drying equipment placement, containment setup, and selective removal of damaged materials.

• Apply industry-standard restoration techniques and safely handle specialized cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Execute appropriate containment and treatment guidelines for invasive species, mold, or biohazard risks as required.

Documentation & Client Communication

• Complete accurate site assessments, work logs, and task documentation for internal management and compliance review.

• Maintain open communication with team leads, operations supervisors, and clients regarding project timelines and job status.

• Serve as a professional, client-focused representative on-site during critical emergency restoration events.

WHS Compliance & Emergency Response

• Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, standard operating procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

• Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency call-out schedule to provide rapid response for urgent client needs.

• Ensure all restoration equipment, tools, and service vehicles are maintained in clean, fully operational condition.

Qualifications & Experience

Technical Requirements & Certifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in water damage restoration, structural drying, or technical facility cleaning.

• Relevant industry qualifications‑such as IICRC certification (Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, or Fire & Smoke)-are highly advantageous.

• Practical knowledge of water extraction machinery, dehumidifications setups, and environmental containment procedures.

Skills & Attributes

• Physical Fitness: Capability to handle demanding physical tasks, including heavy lifting, equipment transport, and working in varied environmental conditions.

• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for accurate job logging and clear client interactions.
