Job summary

Jane is a neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar in Surry Hills seeking a capable Restaurant Manager to lead the floor and shape warm, confident service. You will work closely with the team to ensure smooth operations behind the scenes and a welcoming guest experience.

You’ll build a strong team culture, manage rosters and guest communications, and play an active role in curating the wine and cocktail program with the Head Chef and owners.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in restaurant management or a senior FOH role.
• Genuine interest in wine and cocktails.
• Confident, hands-on approach to service.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to lead, train and support a team.
• Curious, proactive and able to contribute ideas.
• Careful attention to detail to create great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor and set the standard for service.
• Build a positive, engaged team culture through training and day-to-day leadership.
• Manage rosters, bookings and guest communications.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and owners on menus, service and development of the restaurant.
• Contribute to wine list curation and development of cocktails.
• Oversee beverage ordering, stock and invoices.
• Maintain venue presentation and compliance standards.
• Be present with guests and ensure a warm, thoughtful experience.
