Job summary

Kisuya Japanese Restaurant in Bathurst, NSW, Australia, is seeking a Full-Time Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations with a focus on service quality, food safety and financial performance.

You will manage staff, schedules, budgeting and inventory, while delivering excellent customer experiences in a busy hospitality setting. Visa sponsorship may be considered for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in restaurant management.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in staff supervision, rostering and training.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, budgeting, cost control and inventory management.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Australian food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations for efficiency and profitability.
• Plan and monitor sales, budgets and profitability.
• Control costs, stock, and inventory.
• Prepare and review sales, staffing and financial reports.
• Recruit, train, supervise and develop staff.
• Organise rosters and coordinate kitchen, FOH and cleaning.
• Maintain high standards of service, handle enquiries and complaints.
• Manage reservations and seating, dining experience.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS regulations.
• Assist with menu planning, marketing, and promotions.
• Handle cash procedures and daily reconciliation.
• Support staff during busy periods.
