Job summary

Zambrero in Manly is seeking a Restaurant Manager to head up our restaurant in Manly. You will lead the team to deliver fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile, while upholding our Plate 4 Plate initiative and high customer service standards.

You will be responsible for hiring, training, rostering, performance reviews, stock ordering, and ensuring quality and safety across all areas. You will also manage budgets, cost controls, and daily administration to drive strong financial

Responsibilities

• Leading the restaurant to deliver fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile.
• Managing your team including hiring, training, performance reviews, rostering, and resolving employee issues.
• Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard.
• Ordering stock from suppliers.
• Handling office admin tasks such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll, and policy reviews.
• Preparing and maintaining profit and loss statements, budgets, and cost controls for goods and labor.
• Overseeing daily and weekly cleaning of production areas, dining room, and restaurant.
• Upholding Workplace Health and Safety with proper staff training.

What you’ll do

• Our Restaurant Manager takes pride in preparing and serving fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for setting the highest standard in all areas of the restaurant including the customer experience, the workplace culture, and the financial results.
• Managing your team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, rostering, and resolving any employee issues including grievances
• Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard.
• Ordering of stock from various suppliers
• Office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll, and reviewing policies
• Compiling, preparing, and maintaining profit and loss statements, budgets, and cost controls with regard to cost of goods and labour
• Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room, and general restaurant
• Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety
