Job summary

Zambrero in Kings Cross is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead our fast, fresh, and community-minded eatery. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety, and driving daily operations to meet financial targets.

You will manage a team, oversee rostering, training, and performance reviews, order stock, monitor costs, and ensure a welcoming, hygienic dining environment that reflects Zambrero’s values and Plate 4 Plate initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead fast, fresh service with a smile.
• Manage team: hiring, training, rostering, and resolving employee issues including grievances.
• Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard.
• Order stock from suppliers.
• Handle office administration: paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll, and policy reviews.
• Prepare and maintain profit and loss statements, budgets, and cost controls.

We are on the hunt fora Restaurant Manager to head up our restaurant in Kings Cross!

What you’ll do

Our Restaurant Manager takes pride in preparing and serving fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for setting the highest standard in all areas of the restaurant including the customer experience, the workplace culture, and the financial results.

Managing your team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, rostering, and resolving any employee issues including grievances

Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard.

Ordering of stock from various suppliers

Office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll, and reviewing policies

Compiling, preparing, and maintaining profit and loss statements, budgets, and cost controls with regard to cost of goods and labour

Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room, and general restaurant

Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety
