Job summary

The City of Canada Bay Council is seeking a Resource Recovery Officer - Contracts to support waste and resource recovery services. You will work with contractors, residents and internal teams to ensure service delivery, contract compliance and continuous improvement.

Key duties include monitoring performance, processing data, and driving efficiency while maintaining accurate records and financial documents. A 9-day fortnight and ongoing development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in customer service, environmental management, waste management, contract management, business administration, or related discipline.
• Experience in contract administration and contractor management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to resolve issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including interpreting data.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries, service requests and applications relating to waste and resource recovery services.
• Liaise with contractors, residents, businesses and internal stakeholders to resolve service issues.
• Support contract administration activities, including performance monitoring, service reviews, reporting and compliance.
• Conduct operational inspections to identify service improvements and monitor contractor performance.
• Maintain accurate records, databases, correspondence and reporting systems relating to waste services and contract management.
• Analyse operational and service performance data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Assist in development and implementation of waste and recycling projects, plans and customer education programs.
• Reconcile service data, process invoices, investigate discrepancies and maintain financial records.
