Job summary

Penrith City Council is seeking a Resource Recovery Manager to lead the development, procurement and management of waste and resource recovery services and consultancy contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance while shaping policy, strategy and community-facing services for a more sustainable City.

You will lead complex procurement, manage budgets, governance and performance, and provide high-level advice while coaching a growing team and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to turn

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Management, Science, Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Experience in contracts management and procurement.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex procurement, implementation and performance management for contracts.
• Develop and implement Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy.
• Oversee budget, reporting and contract governance.
