Job summary

Aspire Melbourne is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs across the property, including basic plumbing, patching/painting, and general handyman tasks, in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

This role offers either part-time or full-time hours on a 7-day roster between 7:00am and 5:00pm, with weekend and public holiday availability essential. Join a respected family-owned business delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated maintenance and handyman capabilities across a hospitality property.
• Experience with basic plumbing, patching/painting, and general repairs is desirable.
• Ability to respond to maintenance requests promptly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across the property, including basic plumbing, patching/painting, and general handyman work
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and identify and address any issues or concerns
• Carry out regular preventative maintenance checks and implement proactive solutions to prevent future problems
• Assist with the set-up and maintenance of property amenities and equipment, including daily pool maintenance, ensuring they are in top working condition
• Collaborate with housekeeping, front office teams & external contractors to maintain the overall presentation of the resort
• Adhere to all health & safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrable experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and remedy a wide range of maintenance issues
• Proficiency in the use of various hand tools and equipment, along with the knowledge to carry out both skilled and general maintenance tasks
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and resort guests
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• The ability to work independently & unsupervised. Varying shifts including weekends
