Job summary

Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer for a part-time, casual role at our award-winning beachfront resort in Palm Cove. You will help keep the property in pristine condition and support guest experience with proactive upkeep.

You will lead preventative maintenance, coordinate with internal teams and contractors, and ensure safety and presentation standards are met. Experience with repairs, WHS knowledge, and excellent communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Positive, can-do attitude with strong problem solving skills.
• Confident with general repairs – lighting, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Experience coordinating trades/contractors to get efficient results.
• Trade qualification or similar background highly regarded.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice desirable.
• Hotel or resort maintenance experience preferred.
• Comfortable with basic Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent communication skills and a guest-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proactive preventative maintenance program across all areas of the property
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, guests, and Body Corporate
• Implement cost control measures and manage stock and contractor purchasing
• Supervise a small team and coordinate external contractors as needed
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property is safe, presentable, and fully operational
• Support and uphold company systems, standards, and procedures
