Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. seeks a Maintenance Officer to manage daily maintenance functions for a resort, including room and amenity care, equipment upkeep, and preventative maintenance program administration.

The role also covers grounds and garden upkeep and occasional housekeeping support, requiring a flexible roster that includes weekends and public holidays. Prior maintenance/grounds experience and strong attention to detail are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role desirable (maintenance and grounds/gardens)
• Understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles and chemical handling
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills
• Interact with owners and guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, school and public holiday period

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the maintenance department
• Maintain resort rooms and amenities and care for equipment
• Run the resort preventative maintenance program and complete related paperwork
• Maintain grounds and gardens and assist with housekeeping tasks as required
