Job summary

Uniting Country SA in Port Pirie is seeking dedicated casual staff to support children and young people in residential care. You will help provide safe, stable housing, foster therapeutic relationships and support life-skill development within a trauma-informed framework, including overnights and weekend shifts.

Successful applicants will engage in training, performance assessments and a Psychological Suitability process later in the selection.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with high and complex needs.
• Ability to build positive, therapeutic relationships with trauma-affected youth.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 roster including overnights, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Join the Supported Residential Care team to provide safe, stable accommodation for children and young people.
• Help residents feel secure, build confidence and develop life skills for a brighter future.
• Work within a trauma-informed approach and participate in the psychological suitability assessment process.
