Job summary

Gateways Support Services in Lara, Victoria, is hiring a Residential Support Worker to empower individuals to live independently and participate in the community. You will provide hands-on care in a safe, inclusive environment and collaborate with the care team to support daily living and personal goals.

The role involves building relationships, recording progress and working as part of a rostered team across shift patterns. Relevant checks and a Victorian driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support or care is preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Working with Children Check, NDIS Check, and NDIS Orientation mandatory or willingness to obtain.
• Victorian drivers licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, daily living tasks and household duties.
• Support community participation, social engagement and recreational activities.
• Encourage independence by helping build skills and achieve goals.
• Build meaningful relationships to provide person-centered support.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, progress and incidents.
