Job summary

Gateways Support Services is seeking a casual Residential Support Worker for our Camperdown services in Victoria. You will empower people to live independently and participate in the community, providing hands-on support in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key duties include assisting with personal care, supporting social participation, encouraging skill-building, forming meaningful relationships and maintaining thorough activity records to support each individual's goals.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.
• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to accurately record case notes.
• A passion for supporting people to live their best lives.
• Current CPR, First Aid, Working with Children Check, NDIS Check & completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain).
• Victorian drivers licence

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, daily living tasks and household duties.
• Supporting community participation, social engagement and recreational activities.
• Encouraging independence by helping build skills and achieve goals.
• Building meaningful relationships to provide person-centred support.
