Job summary

Gateways Support Services is seeking a Residential Support Worker to empower people to live independently in Camperdown, VIC. You will provide hands-on support in a safe, inclusive environment, collaborating with the care team to deliver person-centred services.

Responsibilities include personal care, community participation, skill-building and maintaining detailed records. A compassionate team player with strong communication will thrive here, with rostered shifts across Week 1/Week 2 cycles.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to accurately record notes and progress.
• Capability to work cohesively in a team.
• A passion for helping people live their best lives.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, WWC, NDIS checks, and orientation (or willingness to obtain).
• Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, daily living tasks and household duties.
• Supporting community participation, social engagement and recreational activities.
• Encouraging independence by helping build skills and achieve goals.
• Building meaningful relationships to provide person-centred support.
