Smarter Air is seeking an organized, highly motivated HVAC Residential Service Manager to lead our service operations from our HQ in Loganholme. You will manage the field service team, oversee job estimations, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure exceptional customer outcomes across South-East Queensland.

In this leadership role, you will drive performance, review margins, streamline workflows, and grow the division while upholding high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified or experienced HVAC specialist for residential systems.
• 3+ years in a service manager, supervisor, or senior leadership role.
• Pricing, labor estimation, and competitive client quotes experience.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate with trade suppliers, manage procurement pipelines, and handle customer communication with professionalism.
• Experience with field service software such as ServiceM8, SimPRO, or Jobber.

Smarter Air is growing! We are seeking an organized, highly motivated HVAC Residential Service Manager to lead our service operations from our HQ in Loganholme. In this leadership role, you will drive the performance and success of our newly formed residential service division—managing our field service team, overseeing job estimations, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring exceptional customer outcomes across South-East Queensland.

What you'll be doing

Service Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support our team of residential HVAC technicians; oversee daily workflows, technical standards, and performance to maintain high quality and efficiency.

Estimating & Proposals: Conduct technical assessments and prepare accurate estimates for residential HVAC servicing, maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.

Supplier & Inventory Management: Build and manage relationships with key trade suppliers, negotiate pricing, handle parts procurement, and oversee inventory for efficient project turnarounds.

Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the key point of contact for client escalations, deliver top-tier service experiences, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and retention.

Operations & Workflow Oversight: Work alongside leadership to review job margins, streamline service workflows, optimize field productivity, and drive growth across our residential service division.

What we’re looking for

Proven Industry Experience: Trade-qualified or experienced HVAC Specialist with strong technical knowledge in residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Management Expertise: 3+ years in a Service Manager, Supervisor, or senior leadership role within the HVAC, trade, or field service industry.

Estimating Skills: Strong commercial acumen with hands‑on experience in pricing, labor estimation, and generating competitive client quotes.

Supplier & Stakeholder Relations: Demonstrated ability to negotiate with trade suppliers, manage procurement pipelines, and handle customer communication with professionalism and diplomacy.

Software Proficiency: Experience with field service management software (e.g., ServiceM8, SimPRO, Jobber) and standard office productivity suites.
