Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Residential Air-conditioning Manager to own the residential division on the Gold Coast. Lead quoting, scheduling and customer experience, while coordinating tradespeople and ensuring profitable project delivery.

You will oversee site visits, develop accurate estimates and manage multiple residential projects from start to finish, aligning with management to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in the air conditioning/HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge of residential systems and installations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Trade qualification or estimating/management experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential site visits and prepare quotes and estimates.
• Assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate air conditioning solutions.
• Manage residential jobs from quote acceptance through to completion.
• Coordinate technicians, apprentices and subcontractors where required.
• Maintain strong communication with customers throughout each project.

We are a well-established and growing air conditioning business servicing residential customers across the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced Residential Air-conditioning Managerto join our team and take ownership of our residential operations, quoting and customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who understands the residential HVAC industry, has strong estimating and sales skills, and enjoys building relationships with customers and tradespeople.

The Role

As the Residential Air-conditioning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing residential projects from the initial customer enquiry through to quoting, scheduling and completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting residential site visits and preparing accurate quotes and estimates
• Assessing customer requirements and recommending appropriate air conditioning solutions
• Managing residential jobs from quote acceptance through to completion
• Coordinating technicians, apprentices and subcontractors where required
• Maintaining strong communication with customers throughout each project
• Following up quotes and converting opportunities into confirmed work
• Ensuring projects are completed efficiently, professionally and profitably
• Managing job schedules and helping coordinate day-to-day residential operations
• Identifying opportunities for additional works and upgrades
• Ensuring high standards of workmanship, presentation and customer service
• Monitoring project costs, margins and overall job performance
• Resolving customer issues and ensuring a positive customer experience
• Working closely with management to improve processes and performance

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in the air conditioning/HVAC industry
• Strong knowledge of residential air conditioning systems and installations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of job costing and margins
• The confidence to conduct customer consultations and recommend solutions
• The ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities simultaneously
• A professional presentation and a positive, solutions-focused attitude
• An air conditioning trade qualification, estimating experience or previous supervisory/management experience will be highly regarded.
