Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a residential design draftsman to join a long-standing builder. You will assist with creating standard home plans, tailor designs to client needs, and prepare planning drawings with attention to detail.

The role offers flexible hours and both full-time or part-time options, working mainly on single-storey homes. Collaborative team leadership and opportunity to contribute to new home designs are highlighted, with a salary up to $110k plus super depending on

Qualifications

• Experience in residential building design or drafting.
• Experience preparing residential plans and planning drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with residential construction documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively while managing tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and design of new standard residential home plans.
• Complete client-based design work and tailor plans to requirements.
• Prepare documentation for new standard home designs.
• Produce planning drawings and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
• Manage multiple design tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Occasionally liaise with clients regarding design requirements and changes.
