Job summary

Goldberg Construction Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to manage commercial administration across multiple residential projects from procurement through to final account. You will collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience as Contract Administrator in Australian construction.
• Strong knowledge of residential townhouse/duplex construction.
• Sound understanding of Queensland building contracts.
• Familiarity with Queensland Building Industry Fairness Act (BIF).
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate and administer subcontract agreements.
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers via competitive tendering.
• Analyse and compare subcontract quotations.
• Prepare scopes of works for trades and purchase orders.
• Review drawings and specifications.
• Develop detailed trade scopes for tendering and contracts.
• Administer contracts using project management systems.
• Assess subcontractor progress claims.
• Prepare payment schedules under the QBIA.
