Job summary

St Ezekiel Moreno Nursing Home in Sydney is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator to lead planning, coordination and delivery of engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs that help residents live fulfilling and connected lives.

You will work closely with residents, families and care teams to tailor activities to individual preferences and cultures, build community links, and mentor a lifestyle team to deliver compassionate, compliant programs that reflect person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifestyle, leisure, recreation, wellbeing or diversional therapy in residential aged care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an engaging, person-centred lifestyle and wellbeing program.
• Build strong relationships with residents and families to understand what is meaningful to them.
• Coordinate individual and group activities, special events, celebrations and outings.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, churches, volunteers, entertainers and community organisations.
• Promote intergenerational and community engagement initiatives.
• Create opportunities that celebrate residents' cultures, traditions, interests and life experiences.
• Encourage participation, independence, choice and social connection.
• Collaborate with clinical, hospitality and leadership teams to enhance resident wellbeing.
• Manage lifestyle documentation and ensure compliance with aged care standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor resident engagement and continuously improve programs through feedback and evaluation.
• Support, mentor and inspire the lifestyle team and volunteers to deliver outstanding experiences.
