Role Description

The Reservations Sales Agent is a full-time, on-site role based at Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide in Adelaide, SA. This role is responsible for handling inbound reservation inquiries, converting leads into bookings, and managing modifications and cancellations in accordance with hotel policies. Day-to-day tasks include responding to phone and email queries, accurately entering reservation details into the system, confirming rates and availability, and promoting hotel rooms, packages, and special offers to maximize occupancy and revenue. The Reservations Sales Agent collaborates closely with front office and sales teams, supports receptionist duties during peak periods, and ensures all interactions reflect a high standard of customer service and professionalism. The position requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities, local attractions, and brand standards to provide clear, helpful information to guests.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with guests and colleagues.
• Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on delivering professional, courteous, and solution-oriented support.
• Experience in Reservations and familiarity with hotel booking systems or property management systems.
• Ability to perform Receptionist Duties, such as handling inquiries, assisting with check-in information, and coordinating with front office.
• Sales skills, including upselling rooms, packages, and services to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
• Previous experience in hospitality, travel, or a related service industry is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and good organizational and time management abilities.
• Comfort working with computer-based systems, email, and basic office software; experience with Accor systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Flexible availability to work varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required.
