Job summary

Novotel Perth Murray Street is seeking a part-time Reservations Agent to join our team, 24 hours per week. You will be the first point of guest contact, handling individual and group reservations and ensuring a smooth start to every stay.

Knowledge of OPERA PMS and a customer-focused, detail-oriented approach are essential. Experience with groups is advantageous; excellent communication and multitasking are required in this dynamic hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete individual and group reservations from inquiry to confirmation.
• Oversee room blocks, rates, and reservation accuracy across channels.
• Explain policies on guarantees, rates, and cancellations to callers.
• Set up billing accounts per Finance policies and document special requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve guest issues or escalate as needed.

We have the perfect opportunity for an experienced part-time Reservations Agent to join our amazing team, 24 hours per week.

ALL about the role:

Often the first point of guest contact, your main role is assisting and completing individual and group reservations for our guests - ensuring a smooth start to their stay with us and leading our Reservations team as well as:

• Meeting the needs of inbound FIT reservations and groups from the taking of the inquiry, conversion of the business, assisting with organization of the group, through to ensuring successful on-site coordination of the group
• Maintain fluency with the Accor Live Limitless Loyalty Program
• Oversee accuracy of room blocks, reservations, and rate codes
• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations with different channels
• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
• Accommodate and document special requests
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
• Respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests
• Set-up proper billing accounts according to Finance policies
• Troubleshoot and resolve guest issues or elevate/refer to appropriate department
