Job description

The Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservations department of View Hotels, ensuring efficient booking operations, maximizing room revenue, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role manages reservation systems, supervises reservations staff, monitors occupancy levels, and works closely with front office, sales, and revenue management teams to deliver the Hotel's strategies, goals, budgets and priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the reservations team, providing training, guidance and performance oversight to ensure high-quality customer service standards
• Oversee all reservation channels including direct bookings, online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS) and corporate accounts
• Process and manage reservations accurately whilst maintaining detailed records and booking systems and ensuring data cleanliness
• Manage group blocks, rooming lists, special requests and payments to ensure smooth group check-in process
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve booking issues with courtesy, professionalism and efficiency
• Liaise and communicate with front office, housekeeping and operations teams to ensure smooth guest arrivals and special requests are accommodated
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies and key business partners
• Ensure the reservations checklist is completed accurately each day
• Work closely with Revenue Management to implement pricing strategies
• Proactively contribute to improving service quality and operational efficiencies

About you

• Proven experience in a reservations management or supervisory role within a hospitality environment, ideally within a hotel, resort or similar accommodation property, preferably 2-years supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality systems, property management software (PMS) and reservation platforms. Knowledge of Infor HMS will be an advantage.
• Excellent understanding of revenue management principles and experience with pricing strategies.
• Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple reservations and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional telephone etiquette.
• Team player and leadership experience with the ability to motivate, train and manage reservations staff effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer literacy.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve conflicts and handle challenging situations tactfully.
