Job summary

EVT Group's Flagstaff Gardens Hotel in Melbourne is seeking a Reservations Manager to lead the Reservations Department, optimise occupancy and revenue, and guide a team of reservation agents across phone, email, website and third party channels. The role requires proven reservations experience, knowledge of Opera and iVvy, strong leadership, and sharp commercial judgment.

• Experience in reservations or similar hotel role.
• Knowledge of Opera and iVvy hotel systems.
• Strong leadership and team coaching.
• Forecasting, budgeting and data analysis.
• Clear, confident communication.
• Resilience and calm decision making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Reservations Department, setting policies and best practice and monitoring enquiries across phone, email, website and third party channels
• Manage inventory and room allocations to maximise occupancy and revenue
• Recruit, train, coach and review a team of reservation agents, building a culture of teamwork and excellent service
• Partner with Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Revenue on pricing strategies, promotions and packages, and keep across market and competitor trends
• Analyse reservation data and report on performance, occupancy and revenue against budget and forecast
• Resolve escalated guest issues, and keep reservation systems and tools up to date and optimised
