Job summary

Tech & Data People is seeking an experienced Reporting Lead to drive reporting, analytics, and automation across the organisation. Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a Reporting Lead, BI Lead, Analytics Lead, or similar senior reporting role.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI with data modelling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard and report development, and performance optimisation.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Fabric environments providing reporting solutions.
• Demonstrated experience delivering report automation and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Strong senior stakeholder management with ability to influence executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's reporting and analytics capability with reliable, scalable solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI.
• Develop and optimise datasets, semantic models, and reporting architectures with SQL and modern data platforms.
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric to support data integration, transformation, governance, analytics, and reporting.
• Automation of reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve timeliness.
• Design and implement automated data pipelines, report refresh schedules, and alerting mechanisms.

This role will lead the design, development, automation, and optimisation of enterprise reporting solutions while partnering with senior business leaders to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and report automationwith exceptional stakeholder management skills. You will be responsible for transforming complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions that improve visibility, performance, and decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's reporting and analytics capability, ensuring reliable, scalable, and business-focused reporting solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI.
• Develop and optimise datasets, semantic models, and reporting architectures using SQLand modern data platform technologies.
• Leverage Microsoft Fabricto support data integration, transformation, governance, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
• Lead the automation of reporting processes to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase reporting timeliness.
• Design and implement automated data pipelines, report refresh schedules, alerting mechanisms, and report distribution processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows and eliminate manual reporting activities across the organisation.
• Partner with senior executives and business leaders to understand strategic objectives, reporting requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical reporting and analytics solutions.

Skills & Experience Essential

• Extensive experience in a Reporting Lead, BI Lead, Analytics Lead, or similar senior reporting role.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI, including:
  • Data modelling
  • DAX
  • Power Query
  • Dashboard and report development
  • Performance optimisation
• Strong hands-on experience with SQLfor data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Proven experience working with and implementing solutions within Microsoft Fabricenvironments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering report automationand enterprise reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of automated reporting processes, data orchestration, scheduling, and workflow optimisation.
• Experience automating data ingestion, transformation, reporting, and dashboard refresh processes.Exceptional senior stakeholder managementskills, including the ability to engage, influence, and challenge executive stakeholders.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, define reporting strategies, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and reporting frameworks.
• Experience leading reporting, analytics, or business intelligence teams.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Fabric, Data Analytics, or Azure.
