Job summary

Circuit Recruitment Group is seeking a hands-on Data & Analytics professional to build a function from the ground up, working with finance, supply chain, sales and operations to move away from legacy reporting.

You will be hands-on in SQL, Databricks or Fabric, and partner with senior leaders to translate business problems into data solutions, while shaping how the analytics function operates.

Job description

This global medical company runs a centralised Data & Analytics function that operates more like an internal consultancy than a traditional department, small, highly engaged, and trusted enough to sit close to senior leadership. This particular role is dedicated to a business unit which has never had its own analytics partner before, so it is a genuine build from the ground up rather than stepping into an established function. You will work directly with finance, supply chain, customer service, sales and commercial leadership, moving the business off legacy, manual reporting and onto a modern analytics platform, while shaping how the function itself operates.

What you'll be doing:

• Own analytics initiatives end to end, from problem definition through build to delivery and stakeholder adoption, personally involved at every step rather than handing pieces off to someone else
• Work hands on in SQL and either Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, moving the business off a legacy on premise environment
• Partner directly with senior stakeholders across finance, supply chain, sales and operations, translating business problems into data solutions
• Build and maintain Power BI reporting, replacing manual and Excel based processes
• Prioritise and push back on competing demands with clear, commercial reasoning rather than simply absorbing every request
• Contribute to the team's broader move towards more advanced data engineering and AI/ML capability
• Mentor and build capability across stakeholders and colleagues as the function grows

What we need to see:

• Genuine hands on experience in Databricks or Microsoft Fabric
• Strong SQL experience
• Real, evidenced ownership of a project end to end, not just requirements gathering or design handed off to someone else to build
• A track record of translating ambiguous business problems into practical data solutions
• Genuine enjoyment of stakeholder engagement, education and relationship building
• Evidence of drive and initiative both in and out of the workplace
• Experience in healthcare or medtech
• Exposure to a business undergoing genuine data transformation or modernisationPeople leadership experience, useful for the pathway into broader Data & Analytics leadership over time, though not required
