Barwon Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for Renal Services within the Centre for Education & Training. The Educator contributes to coordinated, interprofessional education that aligns with organisational priorities and promotes evidence-based practice.

The role supports workforce capability by planning, delivering, and evaluating education for Barwon Health’s clinical staff, contributing to professional development and lifelong learning.

Qualifications

• Current professional qualification with active AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership.
• Postgraduate qualification in renal nursing, education or equivalent (or working towards) is desirable.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of contemporary education theory and learner-centred approaches.

Responsibilities

• Conduct learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps and inform education solutions.
• Design, develop, deliver and evaluate high-quality education programs for healthcare staff.
• Apply education theory, simulation and blended learning to support knowledge retention and transfer to practice.
• Use data to measure effectiveness of education initiatives and drive quality improvement.
• Foster interprofessional learning and collaborate with clinical teams and partners.
• Ensure activities meet safety, quality, information management and OH&S standards.
