NSW Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to support and develop nursing staff in the Dialysis Unit at Northern Beaches Hospital. The role is permanent part time, 24 hours per week across three days (Mon–Fri).

You will lead structured learning, provide clinical teaching, orientation, skill accreditation and professional development, and deliver hospital orientation and mandatory training. Regional travel within NSLHD for lectures may be required.

Formación

• Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
• Demonstrated ability to practice safe nursing care and knowledge of policies and clinical practice guidelines.
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice, continuous quality improvement and risk management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, develop, co-ordinate and implement all structured learning for nurses within NSLHD.
• Provide clinical teaching, orientation, skill accreditation and professional development support for all nursing staff and students.
• Provide hospital orientation and mandatory training and teach in courses appropriate to nursing within NSLHD and at facilities external to NSLHD.
• Participate in the development and teaching of the NSLHD Nursing Professional Development Program, including travelling to other sites within the LHD for lecturing and workshops.
