Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for Renal Services within the Centre for Education & Training. The Educator will plan, deliver and evaluate education to strengthen workforce capability and ensure evidence-based, patient-centred care.

Working as part of CET, the Educator leads education initiatives, applies learner-centred approaches and collaborates with clinical teams to support continuous improvement and professional development across Barwon Health renal services

Qualifications

Current professional qualification with active AHPRA registration.
Postgraduate qualification in renal nursing or education or working towards it is desirable.
Ability to apply contemporary education theory and learner-centred approaches.

Responsibilities

Conduct learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps and inform education solutions.
Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate education programs aligned with NSQHS standards.
Apply learner-centred, simulation and blended learning methods to improve knowledge retention and clinical capability.
Use evaluation and quality improvement data to measure education effectiveness and identify improvements.
Foster interprofessional learning by collaborating with clinical teams and external partners.
Ensure education activities comply with safety, quality, information management and OH&S standards.
